In Africa, he successfully spearheaded more than 70 food and agriculture investments and led a business development process that generated more than $38 million in sales. In 2009, Jon founded both the Africa Middle Market Fund and Frontier Markets Consulting.
Kinniya Vision, Founder & Director
Mr. Saifullah established Kinniya Vision in 1996 with the aim of supporting poor, marginalized, war-affected families in Sri Lanka's Trincomalee district. Through Land O'Lakes International Development's USAID-funded Dairy Enhancement in Eastern Province program, Mr. Saifullah led trainings for community members on conflict resolution, gender sensitivity and business planning.
Value Chain Coordinator, Land O'Lakes International Development
Mary Munene serves as the Value Chain Coordinator for the USAID Kenya Dairy Sector Competitiveness Program (KDSCP), which is implemented by Land O'Lakes International Development. A native of Kenya, Mary has more than 25 years of value chain expertise, and business and cooperative development experience. She is a tireless mobilizer who champions the business development service approach to effectively engage all actors along the value chain, including women. Mary is also an accomplished dairy farmer and cooperative member in her own community.
Director for Children & Youth Programs at Search for Common Ground (SFCG)
Lakshitha Saji Prelis is the Director for Children & Youth Programs at Search for Common Ground (SFCG). He has over 20 years' experience working in various conflict and transition environments in Africa and Asia, with a focus on youth. Prior to joining SFCG, Mr. Prelis was the founding director of the Peace-building & Development Institute at American University, and its satellite Peace-building Institute in Sri Lanka.
